The Ranger II is the successor of our popular Ranger Tarp and combines old strengths with new features.
The shape of the tarps (it is square) is still a novelty in the field of military tarps and specially chosen by us, not only leantos and A-frames are constructable, but also more complex forms, even small tents with 2 and 3 closed sides are possiple.
The Ranger II is no longer made of parachute nylon, but from MilGrade SilNylon. SilNyon is a new type of nylon fabric for which very lightweight ripstop nylon is coated with silicone. This coating is elastic, temperature-resistant and waterproof. The center seam is protected twice: First, it is sealed with seam tape and secondly sewn with spun cotton thread. When this thread gets wet, it swells and seals the seams from inside, too.
There are 10 loops for guylines around the edge and 2 in the middle (for a ridgeline), allowing individual tent-shapes to be build. This is an extremely compact and lightweight tarp for light combat equipment, bushcrafters and outdoor enthusiasts. If rolled up propperly it needs less space than considerably smaller tarps.
